I have been led into temptation....

and I have failed. A well meaning Grammy brought groceries to our house the other day. We love that!! She brought some good healthy stuff; cheese, yogurt, fruit, etc. Thank you! She also brought goodies for the kids, some of which I can not keep my hands off of. Chocolate covered donuts, need I say more? Yum. I have thus far managed to keep my paws off of the double stuffed Oreo's but the wafer cookies with vanilla cream in the middle....well....let's just say I've sampled them, repeatedly. (OOPS!) Sweets are my weakness and I just can't stay away from them. I tried, really I did. I failed. Sigh. The scale will certainly reflect my indulgences over the next few days. Hopefully I'll get it going in the right direction again soon.


  1. It is so hard. My dad brings donuts and kolaches over on Sunday mornings...the kolaches? Not a problem...the donuts? I've had 3 today. :( Plus my normal "good" food. Sigh...You know, it doesn't matter how far you have to go...we have in common the same goals, the same challenges and the same (unfortunately) failures. I hope you (and I) get back on track-SOOOOOON.

  2. Colleen - you are allowed a little break. If you restrict yourself all the time you are bound to fail (at least that is how it is for me). The more I forbid myself the more I want the good stuff. Give yourself a day off every once in a while. Today was your day off and tomorrow you will be right back on track. I know you will!

  3. kristen, thank you so much. I do allow myself little treats now and again but have just had no control this weekend at all. You are right though, everyone deserves a break and no one is perfect all of the time. I apperciate your positive comment (it made me teary)!

    Cara-I hear ya, no matter how much you have to lose it's a struggle. What are kolaches?
