The Vampire Diet

No, no, I'm not drinking blood. I do, however, have vampires to thank for my weight loss this week. Let me explain. Last Thursday I started in with a renewed effort after getting on the scale and seeing a number I swore I never would again. I did OK TH and FRI and the weekend, as I remember it, was "eh". Then I started reading the Twilight saga. I had put it off a long time, it was not my kind of book. I finally gave in and figured I could at least "try" it. Ha ha ha ha ha. Monday I read Twilight, Tuesday was New Moon, Wednesday Eclipse came and went and Thursday I polished off Breaking Dawn. Wow. Addictive, addictive, addictive. My house is a mess from neglect and very little else got accomplished. I lost myself in the vampire coven and I also lost 7 pounds. How about that? Talk about transfer addiction huh? So yea.......maybe I need to find some more addictive reads out there b/c I'd rather be addicted to reading than eating.

  1. It's an very good post to know some details about weight loss. There are so many weight loss supplements available in the market but selecting the correct supplement is the main object to avoid misconception and mismanagement of the product.

  2. Just a tip. The books are even better the second time around. You spend more time on the story lines and characters than wondering what's going to happen.

  5. I am a teen services librarian and you talking my language! You should read Shiver by Maggie Stiefvater. It is a planned trilogy (though this is the only book published so far). It is everything I wish Twilight had been. You may also like the Vampire Diaries. Great job!

  6. I loved The Vampire Diaries when I was a teenager, need to dig those out again LOL.
I just read a book called "Fallen" by Lauren Kate, it was reminiscent of Twilight. It's the start of a series as well, although the next installment doesn't come out until this fall.

  7. Um, hello? Did I not tell you this in July? :) Sadly, I've been looking for a replacement ever since. I lost a ton of weight during my summer of reading frivilously.
